Every webmaster has been doing article marketing to promote their web sites. Infact article marketing is a very well known promoting method in online community.
Common steps in article marketing:
* Webmaster writes articles. Usually around the theme of his website(s).
* Submit them to article directories.
* Sent them to ezine publishers for reprint.
* Send them to your subscribers.
One important step most webmasters are forgetting is publishing their own articles on their website …
Why should you publish your articles on your site? Submitting to article directories and getting backlinks is not enough?
* You are publishing more content on your site that attracts search engines. So more pages will be indexed in search engine results. Use content management system like wordpress or RV article publisher. These makes easy for you to publish your articles on your site.
* Keyword phrases in your articles targets many small population of searchers. More specific is the keyphrase, more chances of click and coming to your site. Don’t struggle with common keyword. Use a phrase instead.
* Your articles will be linked from other sites to your site and increasing link popularity. People post links to your articles from their sites or forums which increaes your web site link popularity.
* You are giving more information to your site visitor. This increases your credibility. As I told before, articles should be around your web site theme. Example: If you are selling garden tools, write articles on gardening and landscapes.
* These article pages acts like landing pages from which your visitors will be drawn to your product/service page. More informative your articles, more enthusiastic your visitor will be about your product.
Tip: Don’t get tempted to put google adsense ads on your site. Because aim of these pages is to keep your visitor on your site and pull him to your product page if they are interested. Not pushed away to other site from your site by these ads.
