Subject: Anti-Competitive Actions Reviewer:fshagan Frank Hagan Date: 2004-01-11 Rating: DomainsNext.com is not an accredited ICANN registrar, but resells through ItsYourDomain.com. Read the TOS, at www.domainsnext.com/termsofservice.htm, where they state their new policy on transferring your domain name from them to another registrar. They require a notarized letter, a $15 cashier's check or money order, and are enforcing their own 120-day window freezing the domain. DomainsNext has not responded to my emails, or my complaints to the accredited registrar they resell for (ItsYourDomain.com), or to ICANN. DomainsNext has implemented this policy for all its customers, even those registering prior to the change in their TOS. Their prices are not "the lowest on the web" as their web site proclaims; they are 50% higher than accredited domain registrars such as GoDaddy.com. And now, with their restrictive and probably illegal transfer requirements, you have to add another $25 to $30 (depending on what notary services and cashier's checks cost you) to simply transfer your domain name to another registrar.
